Tamil Cinema Icon AVM Saravanan No More

Tamil producer AVM Saravanan the founder of AVM Productions and AVM Studios passed away today at the age of 86 due to age related health issues.

He had celebrated his birthday just yesterday. Saravanan produced nearly 300 films in different Indian languages and is remembered as one of the most successful and respected producers in Indian cinema.

His mortal remains have been kept on the 3rd floor of AVM Studios for the public to pay their respects until 3:30 PM today and his final rites will take place in the evening.

Saravanan began his film journey in the 1950s and delivered N number unforgettable movies.

Although AVM Productions has been producing fewer films in recent years, the studio continues to function actively in Chennai. He is survived by his son MS Guhan. Rest in peace, AVM Saravanan.
