Tamannah in Queen Remake!

3 years ago, a hindi film released and that gave rise to a discussion about marriage system and women freedom about deciding whom they want to marry and if they should just be looking at getting married. The movie suggested to those dependent girls to cut loose their wings and try to fly. And the movie won a National Award for its director and Queen herself. Kangana Ranaut became a revelation and she went on to become another female star in Bollywood who could be trusted with a budget after Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan. There was a lot of talk about the movie being remade in Southern languages. The interesting topic was who can direct the movie and who will repeat the knock out performance that Kangna was able to deliver.

After lot off thought and combinations, now an interesting all female team is trying to make the movie for South audience to dwell in. According to the reports, Director of films like Mitr, my friend, that won National Award and an accomplished actor who received State level and National level awards, Revathy. She has been a part of few films like Brahmostavam and Loafer, recently in Telugu. She will be directing the movie and Sushasini Manirathnam who wrote dialogues for Mani Ratnam films in Telugu and Tamil, who is also an accomplished actor, will be writing dialogue for the movie.

With these powerhouses of talent coming together, Tamannah was selected to play the role of Queen in Tamil and Telugu. Apparently, both of them were going through various actresses portfolios and they zeroed on Tamannah after looking at her performance in Devi it seems. Tamannah also okayed the project and the shooting will start soon. Tamannah who has slowed down these days, said her next movies will be shockers to her fans and no one will be expecting such films from her.
