Tamannaah’s name appears in a children’s textbook, but why?

A private school in Hebbal has sparked controversy by including a lesson about actress Tamannaah Bhatia in a 7th class textbook.

The lesson is part of a chapter on the Sindhi community titled “Life of Indian People After the Partition of Sindh.” Parents argue that including Tamannaah Bhatia is irrelevant and unnecessary.

The Associated Managements of English Medium Schools in Karnataka (KAMS) is looking into the parents’ complaints and has contacted the school and the CBSE board for clarification.

The school authorities have not commented on the issue. Shashikumar D, the general secretary of KAMS, points out that some of Tamannaah Bhatia’s films may not be suitable for children and that including her in the curriculum could expose students to inappropriate content.

He suggests that there are more relevant achievements within the Sindhi community to highlight.
