Talk: Rana’s Virata Parvam tilting towards a digital release?

Rana and Sai Pallavi’s period drama, Virata Parvam was supposed to hit the screens on April 30th but has been postponed indefinitely due to the Covid second wave circumstances. Though the makers have not yet unveiled the new release date, buzz among media circles is that the film will be out in the theatres in August.

Now, the latest buzz circulating among the digital circles is that the reputed OTT platform Netflix has acquired the film’s digital rights a d planning to release it online soon. However, an official announcement of the same is awaited.

This Venu Udugula directorial also has Priyamani, Nivetha Pethuraj, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Eswari Rao, Zareena Wahab among others in key roles. Sudhakar Cherukuri bankrolled the film under his SLV Cinemas LLP banner. D Suresh Babu is the presenter.
