Talk: Not Dussehra but Balayya’s Akhanda eyeing at this festive release

The shooting for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film, Akhanda under the direction of Boyapati Seenu is progressing at a fast pace. A couple of days back, the team left for Goa to can two songs in the film.

Earlier, news came out that the makers are planning to release the film on October 13th as the Dussehra festival special but there is no update on it later. Now, the latest news is that the team is waiting for a resolution for the ticket price issue in Andhra Pradesh. Reportedly, if everything goes smoothly Akhanda makers are planning to release the film during the Sankranthi season.

If the news turns into reality, already the upcoming Sankranthi season is blocked with biggies such as Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Bheemla Nayak, Radhe Shyam and even talk is that Rajamouli’s prestigious project, RRR is eyeing at the same festival release. Will Akhanda makers be able to get theatres amidst huge competition? Remains to be seen.

Being bankrolled by Miryala Ravinder Reddy, Akhanda has Pragya Jaiswal and Poorna as the female leads. Srikanth is playing a negative role in this actioner that has Balayya in a dual role. Thaman is the film’s music composer.
