Released last Friday, Samantha starrer Yashoda is running in the theatres with decent word of mouth. As per the trade reports, Yashoda collected close to Rs 9 crore gross from twin Telugu states by the end of its first weekend.
Though the collections are decent, Yashoda has a long way to go to achieve break-even status. As per the trade reports, the pre-release business for Yashoda from all languages including overseas is done for more than Rs 20 crore. As the lead lady, Samantha is suffering from health complications, she is completely staying away from the film’s promotions.
During this crucial juncture, Yashoda should maintain the same momentum for the next few weeks to emerge as a clean hit at the box office. For the same, the team has decided to approach star hero Nandamuri Balakrishna. Reports suggest that Yashoda producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad who is a close aide of NBK is planning to meet him to promote Yashoda further.
If Balayya has to promote Yashoda, he should definitely call the team members Yashoda to his talk show, Unstoppable with NBK as the chief guests. If the above news is to be believed, it needs to be seen to what extent Balayya’s promotions will help Yashoda commercially.
