The shooting formalities for the most awaited movie KGF 2 was wrapped up last year itself. Earlier, this year the makers have even announced that the film will hit the screens on July 16th,2021 but due to the Covid second wave, the release has been kept on hold.
A couple of weeks ago, news came out that the makers are planning to release the film in August or during the Dusheera festive season but to date, there is no update on it. Now, the latest news we hear from our sources is that KGF Chapter 2’s release is pushed to December. Inside sources reveal that an official announcement regarding the same is expected to be out by the team tomorrow on the occasion of Sanjay Dutt’s birthday. If the news turns into reality eventually, even the first part of KGF also had a theatrical release in December 2018 which is an interesting coincidence.
While Kannada star Yash is doing the protagonist role in the film, Sanjay Dutt is playing the role of Adheera in this Pan-India movie. Srinidhi Shetty is doing the female lead role in KGF 2 which also stars Raveena Tandon, Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj among others in prominent roles. Vijay Kiragandur bankrolled the movie under his Hombale Films banner. Ravi Basrur has composed the film’s music.
