Talk: Hindi version of Godfather fetches a decent amount

Godfather starring Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role has almost wrapped up its shooting formalities expected for a few patchwork scenes and a song. Being directed by Mohan Raja, the film also has Bollywood star Salman Khan in an extended cameo role in the movie.

Meanwhile, the latest news is the Hindi rights for Godfather including digital, satellite and theatrical rights fetched the makers a decent amount of close to Rs 45 crore. Touted as a political drama, Godfather is an official remake of the Malayalam hit, Lucifer.

Co-starring Nayanthara, Satyadev among others in key roles, Godfather is being bankrolled by RB Choudary and NV Prasad. Thaman is the music composer for the film which is expected to hit the screens during the Dasara festival season.
