Farah, Tabu’s older sister, once accused veteran actor Jackie Shroff of assaulting Tabu at a party hosted by Danny Denzongpa.
One of the well-known actors in the Indian cinema business is the seasoned performer Jackie Shroff. He is well known for his roles in movies like Khalnayak, Angaar, Gardish, Sapne Sajan Ke, and many others. Even though he is a well-known actor, Tabu was allegedly molested by him at one point.
Tabassum In 1985, Fatima Hashmi, who is better known by her stage name Tabu, made her acting debut as a young woman in Dev Anand’s Hum Naujawan. She made her acting debut, nonetheless, in the 1991 movie Coolie No 1.
The actress, who has had quite a career in the entertainment business, has starred as the leading lady opposite every significant actor of her generation. Jackie Shroff hasn’t collaborated with Tabu, though. Interestingly, it appears that there is a cause for it.
According to the Orissa Post, Danny Denzongpa, Tanuja, and Jackie Shroff, all appeared alongside Farah, Tabu’s older sister, in the crime drama Diljalaa. When Tabu was a teen, she frequently accompanied her sister to filming locations. Danny Denzongpa threw a reception for the cast members while the movie was being made.
According to stories from the time, Farah purportedly said that a very drunk Jackie attempted to assault Tabu in Danny’s house, but the older actor intervened and stopped him. Despite the fact that the situation was first kept under wraps, Farah eventually made accusations against Jackie that caused a major media uproar.
It’s significant to note that Tabu never discussed the incident or appeared as Jackie Shroff’s leading woman during her whole career.
The actress received the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor, in 2011, but she has also independently created a remarkable career. Tabu has also received numerous awards, including two National Film Awards for Best Actress and six Filmfare Awards, including a record four for Best Actress (Critics).
