Taapsee Pannu recently spoke out about Kangana Ranaut’s remarks on her following their long-running rivalry.
The conflict between Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu, two Bollywood actors, that began in 2020 has recently changed course. It started when Kangana made fun of nepotism in the entertainment industry and referred to Taapsee as a “B-grade” actress. Rangoli, the sister of the Queen actress, entered the online argument, intensifying it even more. Despite the fact that the two actresses do not get along, Taapsee recently shared what she would do if she met Kangana.
2010 saw Taapsee begin her acting career in Tollywood, and the comedy Chashme Baddoor (2013) marked her Hindi film debut. Kangana, on the other hand, has been working in the profession for almost 20 years, having debuted in the 2006 film Gangster. Yet, with a number of upcoming films, both actresses are currently at the height of their careers.
When Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu engaged in a social media brawl in 2020, it garnered media attention. In an interview, the Manikarnika actress first branded Taapsee, a B-grade performer, to which the Manmarziyan performer sent a scathing tweet in response. There was more to come as Kangana referred to the 35-year-old as her “sasti copy.”
Taapsee Pannu stated in an interview with The Lallantop that she was astonished to hear Kangana refer to her as a “sasti copy.” Taapsee responded when asked if she will ever speak to Kangana, “I don’t know, honestly. But if there is a situation where she is in front of me, then I will go and say hello.” She added, “Mujhe thodi problem hai, problem use hai. So uski marzi.” Taapsee further went on to praise the Tanu Weds Manu actress and said, “when she said ‘sasti copy’ I took it as a compliment.”
Taapsee hints that she doesn’t want to continue this further and is taking steps to end this feud.
