Taapsee Pannu previously competed to be crowned Miss India, but she was unsuccessful and instead humiliated.

One of the best actors of her generation, Taapsee Pannu has consistently wowed audiences with her flawless acting abilities. Several people were unaware that she had once competed for Miss India before becoming an A-List celebrity in Bollywood. When she was a student, she persuaded her parents to submit an application for the pageant on the understanding that she would keep getting good grades.

Few people in the audiences are aware of her pageantry past, despite having watched her rise to stardom. The Haseen Dillruba actress competed in the esteemed national pageant and received the titles of “Femina Miss Fresh Face” and “Femina Miss Lovely Skin” at its conclusion. She fell short of taking home the coveted Miss India title, though.

Taapsee Pannu said that some finalists were treated unfairly while reflecting on her time as a Miss India contestant. Taapsee revealed what really happens behind the scenes at beauty pageants during a conversation, “Sach mat poocho. Jhoot main bol nahi sakti, aur sach shayad main bata naa paaun. But I’ll tell you what I can,” said Taapsee.

Taapsee claimed during the Miss India competition that during the grooming phase, she had been humiliated in front of everyone for something she was unable to perform. The Judwaa 2 actor remarked, “He said, adding a modelling instructor from the trial, If it was in my hand, you would have never been in the top 28.”

Taapsee, regrettably, was not chosen to move on. She said, “They were making individuals sign contracts that expressly dictated that candidates would have to contribute 30% of all their earnings to the pageant for three years,” revealing more about the event’s wrap party. “Sir, take it from me in writing, you’re not getting the crown back,” she remarked when the National Director wished her well for the future during the celebration.

Taapsee said there were two lessons she learned from the tournament as she wrapped up her account of the time. Don’t comb curly hair was the first thing she learned, followed by her friend Farah, with whom she co-founded a wedding planning company.
