Vaidehi Nair began her career as Aarushi Talwar. She started her journey with a documentary about the murder of Aarushi Talwar when she was 11 years old. At 16, Vaidehi Nair appeared in a Bollywood film alongside Taapsee Pannu.
Vaidehi recently spoke about Taapse Pannu’s singing abilities, balancing shoots and studies, and much more. She received a 92% on her tenth board, which she passed last year. Vaidehi will next be seen in Taapse’s Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan. Prateik Gandhi and Sanjana Sanghi also appear in the film. In the movie, Vaidehi plays Sanjana’s younger sister.
Vaidehi said of her upcoming film, “It was a wonderful experience to get a chance to work with renowned artists.” Working with Taapsee was a dream come true for me, and I learned meticulous organisation skills from her. She is approachable and makes you feel at ease. She considers and comprehends issues before acting. I realised that I needed to understand a scene before performing it. If necessary, I can also discuss my reservations with the director. Taapsee sings beautifully, and we were fortunate to listen to her while the scenes changed. For example, we arrive on set in the morning, and the set has yet to be prepared for shooting. During such times, Taapsee frequently sang.”
Vaidehi recalled a time when a rejection affected her deeply. “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has always been close to my heart because I used to watch all of the episodes as a child. I was overjoyed to be chosen for the audition and even to make it to the mock shoot. I was disappointed that I did not make the final cut, but life continues. I always believe that something better is on the way.”
