Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy

Sye Raa is a film which we all were waiting for. It has made its way to the big screens. Read on to see how the film turns out to be.

Story: The story is all about a freedom fighter called Narasimha Reddy played by Chiranjeevi. He is the first one in India to take on the British in the backward region of Renadu. The film is set in Rayalaseema and shows how Nara Simha takes on the British and who all helps him in his illustrious journey.

Performances: Chiranjeevi gives his career-best as Narasimha Reddy. His walk, talk and the way he mouths such patriotic dialogues is a treat for his fans and general audience. Even at this age, Chiranjeevi makes us believe that he is the best when it comes to screen presence.

Tamannah is the unsung hero of the film as she gets a superb role and she completely shines in it. Nayanthara was only there for eye candy and nothing else. Jagapathi Babu did not have much to do in the film but his role gets a good twist at the end of the film. Kiccha Sudeep is superb as the man with a jealous nature.

Vijay Sethupathi is completely wasted in a cameo. Amitabh gets a mature guru’s role and he brings a lot of depth to the film. Ravi Kishan was good and so were the other supporting cast

Plus

Chiranjeevi’s performance
Action Sequences
Emotional scenes
Climax

Minus

Boring Love track
Routine patriotic scenes

Analysis: The film is a visual spectacle in the first place and credit should go to Ram Charan for spending money like water. Every bit of it is shown well in the film. There are a series of battles and also backstabbing acts. Though a bit lengthy, the second half is more engaging and the emotional climax also leaves us in an emotional state.

Director Surender Reddy is at his best when he keeps the emotions intact for the film. He does not add those waste scenes to increase the screen time. The fights against the British and the way Narasimha Reddy fights them is nicely established in the film. The second works majorly because of the emotions and the climax will be a tear-jerker for many.

The film has all the trappings to become a super hit as the makers have narrated this period drama with much valor and sincerity. With Sye Raa, Chiranjeevi proves that he can still pack a punch and he does the same and will make the audience fall in love with him throughout the film. A highly recommended film this is.
