Sushmita Sen recalls being tagged as Difficult to Work with!

Recently, Sushmita Sen described how she was referred to as “difficult to work with” after she wanted a set schedule for the shoot.

Sushmita Sen is one of Bollywood’s A-list celebrities. Sush has never failed to impress us, from winning the Miss Universe contest in 1994 to experimenting with different genres in films and web series. We most love her work ethic in addition to her acting talent and timeless beauty. However, in her early years, this was not the case because she wanted to adhere to her set working hours, but well-known actors and directors felt differently and thought she was fussy.

Sush has worked with well-known actors and directors throughout her career and has been in the business for many years. In her most recent online series Taali, she most recently appeared as transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant.

Sushmita Sen has defied expectations throughout her career and has never held back when speaking truth to power. Even in her early years, she made an effort to adhere to her work schedule, but when a film featured one of the Khans or a prominent actor, she found that shift hours were not addressed with women. She stated, “When I started in the business, if you have a picture with one of the Khans or one of the top A-list stars, you don’t talk about shift time, amount of days, and all that. Simply stoop backwards to complete the film. However, I soon began requesting eight hours, then ten hours with makeup and hair in particular. I’ll arrive on time and go on time. It’s a system I follow even today. I will never be late, but then I will leave on time.”

As she explained, “First of all, everyone had a problem with that attitude, they had so much to say, “Attitude de rahi hai, samajhti kya hai apne aap ko,” when she requested for a set schedule. She was then referred to as picky. When a director engaged her under those conditions and found he had saved a significant amount of production money, things began to shift. Even when she collaborated on the film Aankhen with Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal, and Akshay Kumar, the Taali actress faithfully adhered to the schedule. I would fold my hands and say, “Sir, my day is done,” Sushmita Sen recounted. To maintain discipline, not to offend anyone.

The Aarya star went on to say that she struggled with this and that her coworkers found her “difficult to work with.” “That might have backfired then, and a lot of people were like, ‘She’s hard to work with,'” she remarked. But I said, “I’m willing to wait even if the actor is six hours late.” I’ll put on full makeup and hair, then wait while sitting down. However, I leave when it’s time for me to pack up, which is six o’clock. She continued by saying that it had taken her 30 years to get people to understand the value of time.
