Recently, Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth visited the family of former CM Uddhav Thackeray at their “Matoshri” home.
On Saturday afternoon, South Indian superstar Rajinikanth paid the Thackeray family a “courtesy call” at their ‘Matoshri’ residence.
Rajinikanth, dressed simply in a shirt and jeans, received a hearty greeting from Uddhav Thackeray, president of the Shiv Sena-UBT and a former chief minister of Maharashtra, along with his wife Rashmi and their kids Aaditya and Tejas.
Afterwards, former minister Aaditya Thackeray posted a photo of the iconic actor being greeted by the family, who were holding a large bouquet of flowers and draped a shawl around his shoulder in front of a picture of the late Balasaheb Thackeray.
An absolute delight to have Shri Rajinikanthji at Matoshri once again,” said Aaditya, as the star visited to their home after a long time.
As a fervent supporter of the late Balasaheb Thackeray, a party office-holder claimed that Rajini’s visit was merely a “courtesy call” and had no political overtones.
Rajinikanth visited this location in October 2010 to meet Balasaheb Thackeray. They exchanged hugs and Rajini asked for his blessing. The two were renowned for having a strong personal bond.
