Superhit combination coming together after decades

Ace director Maniratnam will always be remembered in the history of Indian Cinema, for the beautiful and sensitive films that he made, not to mention the technical brilliance in each of his films – be it cinematography or music, or just anything else. He has extracted some of the best performances from noted actors, the kind that are remembered to this day.

One such fine example is actress Madhubala’s performance in Roja, in which she was seen opposite Aravind Swamy. The film was a huge success upon release, and Madhubala’s performance was received exceptionally well. Madhubala was since seen in several other films, in Tamil and Telugu, and became a popular face here. Madhubala is currently seen in films every now and then, in crucial roles.

Madhubala will be reuniting with Aravind Swamy after nearly 30 years, in the upcoming film Thalaivi, the biopic of Tamil Nadu’s former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Madhubala will be seen playing Aravind Swamy’s wife in the film, who is playing the role of MG Ramachandran in the film. On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut will be playing the part of Jayalalithaa in this film. It is definitely going to be interesting to see Aravind Swamy and Madhubala reunite on the screen.
