Sunny Leone has made a significant journey in Bollywood. Recently, she addressed the “adult film star” label that was once associated with her.
In a recent interview, She explained why she finds discussions about this label problematic. She reflected on her early struggles in Bollywood when people judged her based on her previous career in the adult film industry.
She said, “When I first came to India, it was expected that certain labels or tags would be used. That was normal back then. What bothers me now is that we are still talking about it”.
“It’s been 13 years since I arrived and if we don’t move on, how can we progress? It is no longer an interesting topic. It’s just a part of my past”.
“We’ve all worked hard and grown. It seems odd now for a publication to use this label to attract attention.”
