Sunitha has issued a clarification after her recent comments sparked criticism on social media.
Her remark that if women say “my body, my choice” then men could say “his eyes, his choice” which led to a backlash with many saying she misunderstood the idea of women rights.
Responding through her Insta Stories Sunitha said her statement was being taken out of context. She clearly said that she never intended to support disrespectful behaviour towards women.
She added that she honestly believes in every equal rights, dignity and respect for women and would never support anything that harms or insults them for sure.
Despite the clear explanation the debate still continues keeping this issue in the spotlight and drawing much mixed reactions.
