Sunil Lahri aka Lakshman from Ramayana Feels Alia isn’t the Right Choice for Playing Sita ?

Sunil Lahri, nicknamed Ramayan’s Lakshman, offers his opinions on the performances of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.

Adipurush, a blockbuster film from Om Raut starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, bombed at the box office and garnered unfavourable reviews. One of the most anticipated films of 2023 is currently receiving criticism from members of the Bollywood community, like Dipika Chikhlia and Mukesh Khanna, to mention a couple. Sunil Lahri, who plays Rama in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, recently gave an interview in which he discussed the impending Ramayan movie directed by Nitesh Tiwari. He doesn’t think Alia Bhatt will be able to do justice to the character of Goddess Sita, but he supports Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram.

For those who don’t know, Nitesh’s Ramayana is one of the most talked-about projects. Although the cast hasn’t been formally revealed, whispers suggest that in addition to Ranbir and Alia, Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan have also been approached.

Sunil Lahri, who portrayed the character of ‘Lakshman’ in Ramanand Sagar’s Hindu epic, has responded to the casting of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh’s Ramayana and gave his thoughts on it.

Both of them are excellent actors, and I believe they will do justice to the issue, according to Sunil Lahri. Ranbir is an excellent option and capable actor for the character of Ram. Although Alia is also excellent, I believe she would have done Sita’s character more credit if she had played the part five years earlier. It’s my individual viewpoint. In the past few years, Alia seems to have transformed. I’m not sure how believable she’ll appear as Sita at this point.
