Writer- director Sukumar is known for being an emotional man with many creative shades. He is good at creating characters and then playing with him in his screenplay. He created some great characters for Mahesh in Nenokkadine, Jr. NTR in Nannaku Prematho, Allu Arjun in Arya and Naga Chaitanya in 100% Love. He gave life to the love story of Kumari 21F and now, he is looking bring a love story of a director with Darshakudu.
The producer of the film shared few interesting insights with media. He said, “ I have known Hari since my lecturer days and he is a great friend and collaborator for me. He worked with me from Arya days and he discussed this subject with me two years back. I felt it is unique and asked him to direct it. The movie is not about the struggles of a director but a love story that happens on set. This is not my life story as many are expecting and my love story is different from what we are showing in Darshakudu.”
He further said, “ I’ve been working day and night one my movies and I spend very less time with my family. I realised this and since, I am trying to spend as much time as I can with them. But my work schedules don’t allow me to do so. I am working for my next film, Rangasthalam, day and night but still trying to make time for my family. One day, my wife asked me why do I spend lot of time in choosing clothes for my heroines while she doesn’t get same treatment. I told her if you look good to me I am happy with that but a heroine should look good for thousands so it is highly important to get it absolutely right.”
