Sukumar is a well known writer director of Telugu Film Industry who saw very limited box office success but has a name and fame, second to none. He is regarded high among the directors like SS Rajamouli, VV Vinayak and Trivikram Srinivas. He has his own way of telling a story and there are hardcore fans that equal him to Nolan and his Nenokkadine has been his break out film that propelled a discussion about his films. His next film Nannaku Prematho became his most successful film and Jagapathi Babu as a villain got a lot of recognition along with Jr. NTR for playing the protagonist. With such great recognition, Jagapathi Babu was ready to accept any character offered in a Sukumar Film. He did the same by accepting an important role in upcoming Sukumar film with Charan and if he is an antagonist is yet to be announced.
The buzz surrounding the movie before the shooting started about him being a part of the movie was confirmed by the producers after the pooja ceremony and they are highly pleased with the inclusion. Even Jagapathi Babu confirmed the news and he is highly happy to be a part of the project. He did not reveal any character details and just expressed his gratitude for the fame he received for his character in Nannaku Prematho. Ratnavelu is the director of photography for the movie and he shared a photo with Sukumar and Devi Sri Prasad wishing the team all the success and expressed his excitement to unite with friends once again. The movie is said to be a village love story set in 1970’s and 1980’s. Samantha is confirmed to be one heroine and the other one is yet to be announced.
