The much-awaited Pushpa: The Rise, the first part of the planned two parts, was released yesterday, while the second part, Pushpa: The Rule, is planned to release next year. The film opened to mixed responses, with the audience coming out of the theatres feeling discontent about several aspects of the film towards the end.
Speaking about the same, Sukumar said that Pushpa: The Rise is just the beginning of the story, and of what’s to come in the next part. He said that every character will reach their peak in the next part and that they will come more into play then. He also said that only as many as 3 new characters would be added to the second part, which means that every character that has been established in the first part will have more to do in the second part.
The main complaint from fans has been that they haven’t gotten to see much of Fahadh Faasil’s character in the film. His character was introduced towards the end of the film, and Sukumar said that the audiences will get to see Fahadh’s character in its full glory in the second part.
