Director Sukumar is currently riding high on the massive success of his film Pushpa: The Rise, and he is expected to begin the pre-production works of the second part of Pushpa after the Sankranthi festival. In a recent interview, the director revealed that he’s always wanted to remake two Tamil films in Telugu, but that he couldn’t because no one approached him on the same at the time.
Sukumar has always been away from remakes and has delivered extraordinary original films in Telugu, which are still loved by audiences everywhere. As a result, when the director revealed that he wanted to remake two films, it was rather surprising. The two films that Sukumar wanted to remake are Vikram Vedha and Ratsasan. While Ratsasan has already been remade in Telugu as Rakshasudu, Vikram Vedha hasn’t been remade yet.
On the other hand, the second part of Pushpa, tentatively titled Pushpa: The RUle, is scheduled to release in December this year, and the makers have already promised that the post-production of the second part wouldn’t be rushed as that of the first part. The shooting for the film is expected to begin in March.
