Sukumar Praises Upendra’s Influence On His Filmmaking

The teaser of Seetha Payanam directed by Arjun Sarja, was launched in Hyderabad. The film marks the debut of Aishwarya Arjun daughter of Arjun as the lead actress. The event was graced by Sukumar and Upendra as chief guests.

Speaking at the event, Sukumar praised Upendra calling him a visionary director. He said, “Films like Om, A, and Upendra deeply impressed me”.

“If I had made them, I would have retired happily”. Sukumar also admitted that Upendra’s filmmaking style influenced his own screenwriting.

“The unique screenplay patterns seen in my films are inspired by his work. I’ve borrowed from him without hesitation,” he said with a smile.

On the work front Sukumar is busy with pre-production for his next film with Ram Charan. The film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
