Sudhakar Cherukuri On Sankranthi Box Office Success

Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri said he is very happy with the response to the Sankranthi release Bharatha Mahashayalaku Wignyapthi (BMW) starring Ravi Teja and directed by Kishore Tirumala.

He said that the film has reached breakeven in most areas. With the long holiday weekend the movie is showing a steady performance and distributors are satisfied with the returns.

He said the Sankranthi season once again proved that viewers enjoy family-oriented films. The idea was to present a clean festive entertainer, different from Ravi Teja’s usual action films, and the response has been encouraging.

Sudhakar also noted that all Sankranthi releases performed well and that films usually pick up more strongly from the second week.

Talking about future projects, he revealed that his next film with Megastar Chiranjeevi, directed by Srikanth Odela, will begin after Nani’s The Paradise, which is about 60 percent complete.
