Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly-anticipated Lucifer’s Telugu remake was formally launched earlier this year. Touted as an intense political drama, Tamil director Mohan Raja has been roped in to direct the movie which was supposed to go on the sets from April this year.
But due to the Covid outbreak, the shooting was kept on hold temporarily. Meanwhile, the latest buzz coming in from inside sources is that as Chiru is no fully convinced with the changes made to suit the Telugu nativity, he is planning to shelve the project completely. News is also that after wrapping up the shooting for Acharya, Chiru is keen on taking a long back and start shooting for new films only after the Covid crisis returns to normalcy. Though there is an official confirmation regarding the same, the news has gone viral all over.
Apart from the Lucifer remake, Chiru has committed to two more projects with Meher Ramesh and Bobby respectively.
