Streaming issues for Pushpa

Allu Arjun’s film, Pushpa: The Rise, which was released on December 17th was a highly anticipated film among audiences, for quite a long time. Given that it is the third film between director Sukumar and Bunny after Arya and Arya 2, there were a lot of expectations on the film. Despite receiving a mixed response, the film managed to get collections at the box office and continues to go strong.

Not only in Telugu, but Pushpa is doing well in Hindi and Tamil as well, beyond the expectations of the makers of the film, in fact. With the postponement of Rajamouli’s RRR’s release, Pushpa would get an additional run time at the theatres, which the makers are very much counting on. However, the film is currently facing streaming issues, as according to the previous agreement, Amazon Prime is free to begin streaming Pushpa after the film has completed 3 weeks, which is next week.

The makers are said to be considering re-negotiating with Amazon Prime and pushing the streaming date. At the same time, the makers of Pushpa have also said that the audience could always go and watch the film in the theatres if they wanted to.
