There are huge speculations that theaters are going to be reopened very soon following the Unlock procedure which the Government has been following. There are high chances, Single screens and multiplexes might be opened from August 1st. News is that the Government is going to restrict occupancy in theaters for just 25 percent. Distributors are thinking that with at least 50 occupancies they can run the theaters even if there are losses for the time being.
The main concern will be the mindset of the public. Are they willing to come to theaters in this pandemic situation? Still, the situation is not under control at the moment. In the main cities, thousands of positive cases are being registered. Will the public risk of coming out to theaters in this current situation is to be seen.
On the other side, distributors might go for releasing old movies for feeding purposes. New movies will not risk releasing until the situation comes under control. It might take at least a month or so for that to happen.
