“Still Haven’t Recovered”: Meena Gets Emotional About Soundarya

Meena entered the film industry as a child artist and impressed audiences with her versatile roles. After becoming a successful heroine she is now taking up challenging characters and staying active in films.

Reports say she will be playing a key role in Mookuthi Amman 2 directed by Sundar C and starring Nayanthara.

At a recent public event Meena became emotional while remembering her close friend the late actress Soundarya.

She said “Our competition was always healthy. She was very talented and a great person. Her sudden death was a huge shock and I still haven’t recovered from it”.

Meena recalled that on the day of the tragic plane crash in 2004, she was invited to join Soundarya for the campaign but avoided it due to her dislike for politics.

Soundarya and her brother sadly lost their lives in the crash leaving the industry in grief.
