SS Rajamouli talked to a popular media house about his next film, RRR and the possible shooting start date. He revealed that his family and himself will donate their plasma soon and assured that everyone is doing better after “mild” Covid scare. He asked people to not fear about Covid-19 and said that safety precautions will keep the disease at bay for sure. About RRR shoot, he said, “We wanted to start shoot couple of times but then we had to postpone it. The spike in Corona cases in past two months has been scary. Doctors advised us to wait for the wet Rainy season to be over to restart the shoot.
“Hence, it will take another two months to start shooting. Within 2-3 weeks of Doctor clearance or assurance, we will start the shoot. It is better to be safe than sorry,” informed the director. He further started that the release date of RRR could be around 7-8 months after they start shooting at regular pace. He also informed that Jr. NTR’s first look video from the film will only release after they start shooting. He remained unconfirmed about the possibility of a quick shoot for Jr. NTR’s look video to satisfy fans.
He further stated that he looks at his films past Baahubali as Indian movies and not Telugu or Hindi language films. He assured that he will continue to work in that fashion in future. He expressed optimism about audiences flocking into the theatres after they re-open, whenever a big star film releases. Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani are playing lead roles in the film. RRR is a fictional tale of friendship between two Indian Freedom Fighters – Alluri Seetha Ramaraju and Komaram Bheem with Telugu origins.
