Baahubali series will remain an iconic film series ever produced from India and a hugely successful First Telugu language Indian Film, worldwide. There are many iconic moments from the film and it could easily take hours and hours for the team to narrate their idea behind the characters and each scenes.
Even though that will be interesting, we don’t want Rajamouli and Prabhas to just stop keep referring to Baahubali. Still, when SS Rajamouli comes out to talk about the idea behind the iconic intro of Baahubali-2, we can’t ignore it. He said, “We wanted to remind people of Baahubali-1 and as the movie is not a sequel, we needed all the theater to remember the first film and if they haven’t watched it, they should be able to connect with the images.
“With that idea, we started thinking about creative ways to do a recap without making it look like a serial recap. When MM Keeravani, our music director suggested let’s do the recap with a song, we went ahead with it. Still the edit with scenes looked boring. So we made those statues and revolved the camera like a stop frame while the lyrics reminds the scene and the story behind it. I have to thank and give credit to Prateek, an artist who sculpted all those sculptures and after he completed 80% manually we took it to a Chinese organisation run by students to complete its VFX,” narrated SS Rajamouli. Well, even a small detail in the movie is taken huge care and hence, we see the movie achieving such iconic success.
