There’s a belief in the Telugu film industry that actors who work with SS Rajamouli often face a flop in their next movie.
This has been true for stars like NTR, Prabhas, and Ram Charan. But now, NTR has broken this myth by receiving positive feedback for his latest movie, “Devara“.
SS Karthikeya talked about this myth on Twitter. NTR had previously worked with Rajamouli on films like “Simhadri“, “Student No. 1“, “Yamadonga“, and “RRR“.
However, after those collaborations, NTR had flops with movies like “Subbu“, “Andhrawala“, and “Kantri“. This time, though, NTR changed things with “Devara”.
Karthikeya wrote on twitter, “23 years of MYTH. Finally, it was broken by the MAN HIMSELF, on the SAME DAY again. Watching him closely and seeing his success makes him so special to Telugu cinema. This is a gift to all the fans… Devara THE BIGGEST MASS CELEBRATION IN CINEMA… Now the madness will speak. ALL HAIL THE TIGER”.
Jakkanna’s last film, “RRR”, was followed by Ram Charan’s appearance in “Acharya“, which was a flop. But now, it seems like the myth no longer holds.
