Srinu Vaitla has been one director who went on a overdrive with success and also give subdue with failure. He lost more on success than he gained in failure. He started off with Ravi Teja starrer, Nee Kosam and found success with youthful Anandam. With mass hit like Venky, he even got a chance to direct Chiranjeevi for Andarivadu. But the movie became a failure and he had to find a success formula to deliver as many successes as possible. Dhee, became that formula and with Ready, King and Dookudu becoming bigger hits than the predecessors, he suddenly became the hit machine of the industry.
Since then he lost his magic at the box office and his satires on Industry people distanced him from the big producers too. During Bruce Lee release he even had his family life in trouble. Slowly, he came out of all the tough times to impress an actor with his story. Varun Tej listened to the story after Allu Arjun recommended it to him after being unable to committee to the movie, even after liking the story. The movie went on sets and had been stuck in the production for long time as Varun injured himself during the shooting of the film. For him to get back to his shape, the film was halted for more than 2 months.
Now, the movie, Mister is ready for release on 14th. Srinu Vaitla made a deal with the producers that is performance based rather than taking his full remuneration and it is important that the movie becomes a big hit for the maker. Remuneration wise and to get back his name, the director is depending heavily on audience accepting the movie. As far as promotions are concerned the makers have ensured that not enough buzz is created for the movie with lacklustre strategies and even the music of the film did not turn out to be any plus for the film. Well, starring Lavanya Tripathi, Hebah Patel the movie needs to be almost a classic for it perform at this rate!
