Movies these days concentrate on first weekend and week returns as most of them cannot be sure about sustained momentum for weeks to come. While Goodachari and Chi La Sow, seem to have settled as preferences for Telugu audiences, Srinivasa Kalyanam seems to be lagging a bit behind.
The movie gained a huge positive buzz with the teasers and songs composed by Mickey J Mayer, majorly Kalyanam Vaibhogam by Legend SP Balasubramanyam, became huge hit. Still, the recent trailer seems to have worked opposite for the film. Even the promotions like Silk sarees to newly wedded couples seems to be not working much in favour. May be the week day release showing its effect.
Nithiin, Raashi Khanna did leave a great impression as the onscreen pair and many thought the chemistry will compel audience to run to theatres. But the advance bookings are on par with Goodachari which will be in its 7th day and first Thursday. Some trade pundits are saying that the movie needs initial good word to spread as it is a complete family and going by the positive buzz in the Industry for the movie, they are saying aggressive promotions over weekend could see a sea tide change in the bookings. Let’s hope that’s the case.
