Srikanth Claims Debt Led To Drug Addiction

Srikanth, popularly known as Sriram has been arrested by Tamil Nadu police in a drug-related case. The issue surfaced during an investigation into a nightclub fight involving former AIADMK leader Prasad.

During questioning, Prasad reportedly revealed Sriram’s name leading police to find that Sriram had allegedly purchased drugs from him nearly 40 times.

Sriram was interrogated at the Sungambakkam police station, and medical tests reportedly confirmed drug use twice.

In court, he admitted to using drugs and requested bail, saying he has a child to support. However, the court denied bail and placed him in 14-day judicial custody.

According to Tamil media, Sriram claimed that Prasad owed him Rs. 10 lakh and often gave him cocaine instead of repaying the debt, which led to his addiction.

The case has become a major topic in the Tamil film industry and more developments are expected in the coming days.
