Srikanth and Krishna have been granted conditional bail by the Madras High Court in connection with a drug case.
A few weeks ago, both were arrested in Chennai after medical tests reportedly confirmed the presence of cocaine in their systems. The court heard their bail plea on July 8th and granted them conditional relief.
Srikanth’s arrest followed the detention of AIADMK IT wing member T. Prasad, who allegedly supplied the drugs. Soon after, Krishna and a few others were also arrested.
The Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit (ANIU) of the Chennai Police conducted an investigation and reportedly found enough evidence to proceed against the actors. Srikanth was arrested under the NDPS Act after tests at Kilpauk Government Hospital confirmed drug use.
As per reports Srikanth allegedly bought one gram of cocaine for Rs. 12,000. The case is still under investigation, with the police and narcotics department working to uncover further links and individuals involved.
