Sridevi, the legendary diva of Indian Cinema, died in her Jumeirah hotel room, Dubai, on Saturday. The actress was found unconscious in the bathroom of her hotel room and the major reason is reported to be a sudden cardiac arrest. But the Dubai police forensic department took more than 40 hours of investigation to state that she died due to accidental drowning.
The actress has been currently shifted to a morgue from the lab and her body will be handed over to the family members, only after the investigation and other formalities are over. Dubai police have stated on Twitter that they have issued a death certificate and Dubai Public Prosecution is handling the case now. The actress body will be handed over once the prosecution submits the final report to the court, to clear the mystery behind the cause of death completely.
The actress body is supposed to be shifted to Mumbai, her home, today but as the formalities and procedures take time, her final rites could take some more time to complete. The actress family is still in deep shock and major stars like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan have reached Mumbai to console the family members and they will be waiting to see the body of Sridevi, one last time.
