Sridevi, the eternal diva and lady superstar of Indian Cinema, succumbed to severe cardiac arrest in Dubai, late night on Saturday. She was attending close relative’s wedding in Dubai and after reception, she collapsed in her hotel bathroom. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, Hospital Rashid but she passed away by the time, the ambulance reached the hospital. She is survived by her husband, Boney Kapoor and two daughters, Jhanvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
Her family members are still in shock and highly inconsolable. Her brother-in-law, Sanjay Kapoor, talked to media. He said to Khaleej Times, an UAE newspaper, “Sridevi did not have an history of heart ailment and she was always been health been healthy and conscious of her diet too. We are shell shocked and my brother, Boney is unable to recover from the shock. Young daughter, Khushi has been crying and we are waiting for forensic department to handover the body.”
Her real name is Sree Amman Ayyapan Yanger. Her father is a lawyer and she was born on 13th August, 1963. She entered films as a child actor in Tamil and acted in Badipanthulu in Telugu. From being a child actor, she grew into lead actress with Padaharuyella Vayasu and after acting in Vetagadu in Telugu, she became a star heroine. She then with different characters in Tamil and Telugu, debuted in Hindi as well and grew as one of the biggest stars in actresses, India has ever seen. She received Padma Shri from Indian Government, in 2013.
The actress dead body will be shifted to India in a private jet. Her family will accompany her and on Monday, her last rites will be finished in Mumbai. Her elder daughter is entering films, with Dhadak. Jhanvi Kapoor couldn’t go for wedding as she was busy with shoots.
