Sreeleela was originally expected to make her Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu’s romantic drama.
However the project has faced repeated delays leading to a change in her debut plans. According to reports Sreeleela will now enter Hindi cinema with Diler, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan.
The delay in Anurag Basu’s film is reportedly due to the makers rethinking its release after the success of Saiyaara, the disappointing performance of Kartik’s recent film and the actor’s busy schedule with Nagzilla.
Diler, directed by Kunal Deshmukh and produced by Maddock Films, is expected to hit theatres during the Diwali weekend, making it Sreeleela’s official Bollywood debut.
