Sree Vishnu Explains What He Meant About Telugu Audiences
Sree Vishnu has clarified his recent comments about Malayalam cinema and its audience.
He earlier said that if he wanted to make a pure drama, he would prefer making it in Malayalam and dubbing it into Telugu.
His statement led to trolling, with some people accusing him of looking down on Telugu audiences. Sree Vishnu explained that he was talking about audience preferences in both industries.
He said Malayalam audiences are more open to slow and serious dramas, while Telugu audiences generally expect some commercial elements.
He added that serious dramas have worked in Telugu too, but they are less common. His upcoming Comrade Kalyan blends comedy with a Naxal backdrop and releases on October 9th.
