It has been officially announced that Prabhas’s 25th film would be directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Arjun Reddy fame. The director is currently busy with Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal, and given that Prabhas is busy with his own project, this project will take quite some time to begin, and is expected to begin in the latter half of 2022.
According to the latest reports, Spirit has been rejected by three top Tollywood actors, before being okayed by Prabhas. Sandeep is said to have narrated the script first to Ram Charan, post the phenomenal success of Arjun Reddy, and after Ram Charan rejected it, he is said to have narrated it to Mahesh, who rejected it too. Finally, Sandeep narrated it to Allu Arjun, who rejected it as well.
Following three rejections, Sandeep is said to have worked on another script, which is Ranbir’s Animal. Shortly after, Sandeep is said to have received a call from Prabhas, and upon narration, Prabhas is said to have loved the script, as it is, and gave a nod to the project. While it is common for actors to be a part of a film that has been rejected by others, given that Spirit was rejected by 3 top stars, it has to now be seen how well the film will turn out to be for Prabhas.
