Soori’s upcoming sports action drama Mandaadi is nearing its theatrical release and has received its certification.
Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendi, the film has been shot across Tamil Nadu’s coastal regions and features large scale sea based action sequences.
The Central Board of Film Certification has cleared Mandaadi with a U/A 16+ certificate. Soori plays the lead while Mahima Nambiar is the female lead.
Suhas will make his Tamil debut in a key role. Sathyaraj, Ravindra Vijay, Mithun and Balasaravanan are also part of the cast.
The film includes sailing and boat racing scenes with Soori reportedly undergoing special training for the sequences.
The team completed the shoot despite challenging weather and locations. Mandaadi is set to release worldwide on September 10th.
