Leading OTT platform SonyLIV has ventured into the South cinema and has been bagging the streaming rights of a few interesting films. As the Telugu content head, the OTT platform has appointed noted filmmaker Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and is planning to acquire the rights of a few good films.
Meanwhile, the latest news is that as the first project SonyLIV has bagged the streaming rights of Rajamouli’s assistant Ashwin Gangaraju’s directorial debut film, Aakashavaani. An official announcement regarding the same is going to be out soon.
Starring Tamil actor Samuthirakani and Teja Kakumanu in the key roles, Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya was the producer of the film initially, however, he opted out due to creative differences with the director. Later, A Padmanabha Reddy took over the project.
