Sonu Sood has become more popular for being a humanitarian than an actor in recent times. He has been helping those who in need relentlessly since last year. This year, Sonu Sood has taken it upon himself to help those affected by coronavirus as much as he can. He is actively trying his best to procure as many oxygen plants as possible and has ordered plants from the USA and France. Sonu Sood has also been providing Oxygen concentrators to those who need them and other services free of cost.
Now, the actor has tied up with the Andhra Pradesh government and is about to set up two oxygen plants in the state. These plants would be set up in Kurnool and Nellore. The first plant will be set up at the Kurnool government hospital, while the second one will be set up in Nellore immediately. All the necessary permissions have already been taken by Sonu Sood from the municipal commissioner, collector and other concerned authorities. These plants will help thousands of people living in the neighbouring areas of Nellore and Kurnool.
Kurnool district collector S Ramsunder Reddy, IAS, said that he’s very thankful to Sonu Sood for his humanitarian gesture. He said that the oxygen plant being set up by Sonu Sood would help in treating 150-200 patients every day at the Kurnool hospital. Sonu Sood said that these plants will help better health care in rural areas, which is the need of the hours right now. He said that AP would be able to bravely fight coronavirus once the plants are installed and said that more plants would be set up between June and July in other states. The oxygen plants being set up in Kurnool and Nellore will be operational from June.
