Sonu Sood shared his sorrow over the tragic death of a young boy in a road accident in Mumbai. He expressed his condolences to the family and mentioned the need for better safety measures to avoid such accidents.
He also emphasized the importance of addressing water logged roads and suggested installing water filled crash barriers on road dividers to save lives.
On his Twitter he wrote “It’s heartbreaking to hear about a young boy who lost his life in a car accident in Mumbai. If we have WATER FILLED ROAD CRASH BARRIERS on all dividers we can prevent such tragedies. This should be mandatory with every road contract. Jai Hind”.
The GOI is also working to reduce road accidents as part of its Stockholm Declaration commitment. To achieve this the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has introduced a strategy called the 4E Education, Engineering, Enforcement, and Emergency Care.
Various road safety initiatives are being implemented, and safety guidelines are regularly updated with input from relevant stakeholders.
I feel so sad to hear about a young boy who lost his life when his car crashed into a road divider in mumbai. I feel if our country has such kind of WATER FILLED ROAD CRASH BARRIERS on every road divider, we can save millions of lives. It should be made mandatory with every road… pic.twitter.com/6M4TYhUbcv
