The recent Amazon Prime Video series Dahaad, Sonakshi Sinha has delivered a captivating performance in a power-packed role. Portraying a police officer, she took on the challenging task of tracking down a notorious serial killer. With her strong and determined character, Sonakshi Sinha brought intensity and grit to the screen, immersing viewers in a thrilling and suspenseful storyline. In a recent interview, Sonakshi Sinha, shared what went behind the preparation of her character, Anjali Bhaati in the series.
Sonakshi underwent rigorous workshops that helped her delve deeper into the psyche of her character. These workshops not only honed her acting skills but also provided her with a better understanding of the complexities and nuances of portraying a cop on-screen. Speaking about her role, Sonakshi Sinha told the news agency ANI, “The role came with a lot of challenges, from learning a new dialect, riding a bike and even learning Judo. But what I can say is that these intense workshops have only shaped me to give a better performance and relate to the character in every way.”
Sonakshi further added “I wanted to play the part and play it right. And once that uniform comes on, everything changes. You get this sense of authority and power. And then that’s it, rest everything fell into place.”
On the web-series front, while Dahaad premiered on May 12 on Amazon Prime Video, the actress also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, Heeramandi in the pipeline.
