Director Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Sethupathi have come together for the first time for a hard hitting mass-action film titled Slum Dog. Known for his fast working style Puri has completed the shoot quickly and post-production is also progressing at a steady pace.
On Vijay Sethupathi’s birthday the makers revealed the title and first look. The title Slum Dog, with the caption 33 Temple Road, has created strong buzz.
The poster shows Vijay in an abandoned warehouse filled with cash bundles, broken crates, and blood stains, hinting at a violent crime world.
He appears in a rough, messy look with torn clothes, fitting his role as a beggar, while a blood-stained machete adds intensity.
Puri presents Vijay in a completely new avatar. The film is produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur along with JB Mohan Pictures. Samyuktha is the female lead with Tabu and Vijay Kumar in key roles. Music is by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.
