Shot to fame among the Telugu audience with the last year’s blockbuster, Sita Ramam, Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has signed Natural Star Nani’s new film recently. Tentatively titled #Nani30, the film’s formal launch ceremony happened this morning. Debutant named Shouryuv is the film’s director.
Meanwhile, the latest news is that Mrunal Thakur’s Bollywood film, Gumraah co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur is gearing up for April 7th release. An official announcement regarding the same came out this afternoon.
Touted as a crime thriller, Gumraah will present an intense confrontation atmosphere between Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur, say sources. The film marks the first time collaboration of the lead pair. While Mrunal Thakur is essaying a cop, Aditya Roy is playing a dual role for the first time in his career.
Gumraah is a remake of the Tamil film Thadam that featured Arun Vijay and Vidya Pradeep in lead roles. While the original was directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the Hindi version is being helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.
