Sita Ramam, which was released on August 5th, turned out to be Tollywood’s first hit in several months, along with Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara. The film continues to run successfully in theatres, and the Hindi version of the film was released just yesterday.
Considering the buzz the movie created in the North, after its success in Telugu, it was expected that the film would do well. Moreover, given that Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur are known faces to the Hindi audience, there were decent expectations on the film’s performance. As expected, the Hindi version of the film brought in good numbers on the first day.
While the film didn’t bring in extraordinary numbers on the first day, with there being no other competition for the film for at least a week, and given its good word of mouth, the numbers are only expected to increase for the film in the North.
