Sir Teaser: When class meets mass

The teaser of Dhanush’s first straight Telugu film, Sir, directed by Venky Atluri, has been released today. The film features Samyuktha Menon as the leading lady, who was last seen in Bheemla Nayak, and the film is produced under the Sithara Entertainments banner, by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya.

The teaser opens with a dialogue about how students would no longer be admitted to private institutions if the best teachers they have are transferred to government schools. The dialogue then goes on to say that only the third grade lecturers would be transferred to government institutions, which is when we get introduced to Dhanush.

From the teaser, it is clear that the movie deals with how education has been made into a business, with Dhanush’s character, Bala Gangadhar Tilak, talking about how education should not be made a business, towards the end of the teaser. All in all, the teaser looks interesting, with elements of mass and class perfectly imbibed into them.
